The proposed merger between Public Service Company of New Mexico and Avangrid won approval this week from the Nuclear Regulatory Commission.
The deal still needs final approval from state regulators and if supported the combined company would serve more than 4 million electric and natural gas customers in New Mexico, Texas, New York, Connecticut, Maine and Massachusetts reported Daily Energy Insider.
