Omaha-based Domina Law Group was successful in representing Nebraska landowners who sue Costco in its proposed giant new chicken factory in Lancaster County. Lancaster District Judge Jodi Nelson denied a special zoning permit that was required for Costo to build the proposed 8-barn, 380,000-chicken facility in an agricultural area near the public schools of Raymond, Nebraska.

The judge’s ruling stated the poultry barns would “more likely than not have negative effects on health, safety, and general welfare,” according to Bold Nebraska, an environmental group that supported the residents in their fight.e.
