Crude oil prices managed another gain in the second day of trading this week but Oklahoma energy stocks didn’t follow the same path.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery went up 36 cents to $65.28 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for July delivery rose 28 cents to finish at $68.55 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas rose 3 cents to $2.96 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Tuesday was mostly a down day for Oklahoma energy stocks with Matrix Service Co. recording the biggest fall of the day—4.57% on a 61 cent drop to $12.73.
Alliance Resource Partners, LP was one of the few that saw a modest gain with shares improving by 12 cents to reach $6.17 for a 1.98% gain.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP rose 2 cents for a 0.59% gain to $3.42.
