Crude oil prices bounced back in Monday’s trading and finished the day at nearly $65 a barrel in the US but European prices took a tumble.
West Texas Intermediate crude for June delivery went up 91 cents to wrap up at $64.49 a barrel on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for July delivery took an 80 cent fall to settle at $67.56 a barrel in ICE Futures Europe.
June natural gas rose 4 cents to $2.97 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Two Oklahoma energy stocks had significant gains as WTI increased for the day. PHX Minerals Inc. gained 9.19% on a 27 cent jump to $3.15 a share.
SandRidge Energy Inc. gained 7.14% as shares rose 29 cents to settle at $4.35.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. rose 25 cents for a 4.56% gain to $5.73.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP had a 3.08% gain on a 10 cent increase to $3.35.
Chesapeake Energy gained 1.73 on a 79 cent increase to $46.36.
Cimarex Energy Co. rose $1.02 for a 1.54% gain to $67.22.
Continental Resources, Inc. picked up $1.06 for a 3.89% gain to $28.30.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP lost 4.07% on a 9 cent fall to $2.12.
Devon Energy Corp. rose 24 cents translating into a 1.03% gain to @3.62.
Enable Midstream Partners LP finished up 2 cents for a 0.27% gain to $7.41.
Gulfport Energy Corporation gained 5.09% to settle at $0.058 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished up 65 cents at $26.28 for a 2.54% gain.
LSB Industries, Inc. gained 3.84% on a 23 cent jump to $6.22.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. rose 51 cents for a 1.26% gain to $41.05.
Magellan Midstream Partners, LP rose 86 cents for a 1.84% gain to $47.63.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc fell 10 cents for a 2.62% loss to $3.72.
Matrix Service Co. rose 47 cents for a 3.56% gain to $13.68.
NGL Energy Partners LP settled up 3 cents for a 1.42% gain to $2.15.
OGE Energy Corp. finished down 7 cents for a 0.21% loss to $33.49.
ONE Gas Inc rose 11 cents for a 0.14% gain to $80.58.
ONEOK, Inc. added 38 cents to settle at $52.72 for a 0.73% gain.
Ovintiv Inc. finished up $1.01 for a 4.22% gain to $24.94.
Unit Corporation fell 24 cents for a 1.85% loss to $12.76.
Williams Companies Inc gained 1.68% after a 41 cent rise to $24.77.
Other energy stocks saw similar gains according to the Texas Energy Report.
One of the largest was experienced by National Oilwell Varco which had a 6.28% gain as shares rose 94 cents to settle at $15.90.
