Tulsa’s Ovintiv Mid-Continent Inc. received drilling permits to begin exploration in Canadian County.
Permits to drill were issued this week for a three-well single-pad site.
The three ROCK ISLAND #1407 wells will be located at 11 14N 7W which is several miles southeast of the city of Okarche.
The permit, 01725666 shows drilling is intended to be in the Mississippian, the Mississippi Solid and the Woodford.
