Ethanol plant received COVID funds amid environmental concerns, delinquent taxes

 

The Kansas-based firm AltEn, sued over its Nebraska ethanol plant operations received more than $210,000 in COVID relief funds last year from the Nebraska Department of Economic Development.

The money was awarded as AltEn’s plant at Mead, Nebraska fell under increased scrutiny from environmental regulators reported the Lincoln Journal Star.
