Energy Transfer fights to keep open the Dakota Access pipeline

Energy Transfer is putting up a fight in federal court to keep open its Dakota Access oil pipeline, arguing the systems shutdown would be even more harmful than previously anticipated.

Their arguments were made Monday in U.S. District Court of the District of Columbia after a key permit was scrapped. Energy Transfer contended that an “immediate economic shock” would result if the line were closed during a court-ordered environmental review reported Reuters.
