U.S. crude prices rose above $66 a barrel in Friday’s trading and investors and producers will be anxious to see Monday if prices will continue their climb after news that OPEC+ will not lift crude oil production levels beginning in April.
On Friday, West Texas Intermediate crude for April delivery soared $2.26 a barrel to $66.09.
Global benchmark Brent crude for May delivery went up $2.62 to$69.36 a barrel.
April natural gas fell 5 cents to $2.70 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Some Oklahoma energy stocks saw corresponding increases. Helmerich & Payne rose $3.62 on Friday for a gain of 12.56% to $32.44.
Continental Resources, Inc. had a gain of 10.21% on an increase of $2.94 to $31.74.
Devon Energy Corp shares gained 8.43% on an increase of $1.99 to $25.61.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. had a gain of about half a point on a 3 cent increase to $5.78.
Blueknight Energy Partners gained 7.66% on a 17 cent increase to $2.39.
Chesapeake Energy increased $1.15 for a 2.49% gain to $45.03.
Cimarex Energy Co. gained 5.50% on a $3.50 increase to $67.19.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP went up 8 cents for a 2.72% gain to $3.02.
Enable Midstream Partners LP closed up 10 cents at $6.91 for a gain of 1.47%.
Gulfport Energy was unchanged at $0.08 cents a share.
LSB Industries, Inc. gained nearly 7% on a 27 cent jump to $4.14.
Laredo Petroleum went up 13 cents to $34.24 for a gain of 0.38%.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. gained about half a point on a 25 cent increase to $44.88
Mammoth Energy Services increased 9 cents to $5.81 for a gain of 1.57%.
Matrix Service Co. finished up 39 cents at $14.40 for a 2.78% gain.
NGL Energy Partners LP had a 2.58% gain on a 7 cent increase to $2.64.
OGE Energy Corp. gained 3.19% on a 98 cent hike to $31.74.
ONE Gas Inc. rose $4.81 to $73.60 for a 7% gain.
ONEOK, Inc. increased $1.32 to close at $49.57 for a gain of 2.74%.
Ovintiv Inc. closed up 52 cents at $27.82 for a 1.90% gain.
PHX Minerals Inc went up 6 cents to close at $3.29 for a gain of 1.86%.
SandRidge Energy Inc. finished the day at $4.06 after a 9 cent drop and a 2.17% loss.
Williams Companies Inc had a 15 cent increase to $24.26 for a gain of less than 1%.
Many other energy companies saw increases as the Texas Energy Report indicated.
