Texas legislators move to clamp down on power producers in wake of deadly storm

 

Texas legislators have unveiled a basket of bills targeting electrical power production in the state following the February winter storm crisis that left millions without power.

The Texas Tribune reported that House Speaker Dade Phelan announced seven such priority bills on Monday including one calling for the overhaul of the Electric Reliability Council of Texas and still another that would mandate the weatherization of power facilities.
