Amidst growing pressure over a container ship’s blocking of the Suez canal and its impact on natural gas prices and other energy aspects, oil prices rebounded on Friday bringing Oklahoma energy stocks with it.
West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery went up $2.41 to finish the day at $60.97 a barrel in Friday’s trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude for May delivery rose $2.62 to reach $64.57 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.
April natural gas fell 1 cent to $2.56 per 1,000 cubic feet.
Oklahoma energy stocks also rebounded in Friday’s trading. Mammoth Energy Services had the biggest bounce at nearly 8% as shares rose 38 cents to reach $5.33.
PHX Minerals was another Oklahoma energy stock with a big bounce. Shares rose nearly 7% on a 20 cent jump to $3.10.
Others also had a good day on Friday.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. gained 4.30% on a 24 cent increase to $5.82.
Blueknight Energy Partners went up 7 cents for a 2.18% gain to $3.28.
