Oil bounced back again on Friday—investors wonder what Monday will bring

 

 

Amidst growing pressure over a container ship’s blocking of the Suez canal and its impact on natural gas prices and other energy aspects, oil prices rebounded on Friday bringing Oklahoma energy stocks with it.

West Texas Intermediate crude for May delivery went up $2.41 to finish the day at $60.97 a barrel in Friday’s trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

Global benchmark Brent crude for May delivery rose $2.62 to reach $64.57 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

April natural gas fell 1 cent to $2.56 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Oklahoma energy stocks also rebounded in Friday’s trading. Mammoth Energy Services had the biggest bounce at nearly 8% as shares rose 38 cents to reach $5.33.

PHX Minerals was another Oklahoma energy stock with a big bounce. Shares rose nearly 7% on a 20 cent jump to $3.10.

Others also had a good day on Friday.

Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. gained 4.30% on a 24 cent increase to $5.82.

Blueknight Energy Partners went up 7 cents for a 2.18% gain to $3.28.

Chesapeake Energy rose $1.17 for a 2.78% gain to $43.33.
Cimarex Energy gained 3.66% as shares increased $2.15 to $60.83.
Continental Resources had a 3.21% gain on an 83 cent jump to $26.72.
Cypress Environmental Partners finished with a 4.15% gain on a 10 cent jump to $2.51.
Devon Energy rose 39 cents and had a 1.74% gain to $22.74.
Enable Midstream Partners finished at $6.80 with a 15 cent increase and a 2.26% gain.
Gulfport Energy continued its recent decline with a nearly 2% loss to $0.055 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. finished up 87 cents at $28.46 for a gain of 3.15%.
LSB Industries gained 5.88% as shares closed at $4.50 with a 25 cent increase.
Laredo Petroleum closed up $1.09 at $29.97 and a 3.77% gain.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. went up $1.21 to $43.80 and a gain of 2.84%.
Matrix Service Company gained 4.08% on a 52 cent jump to $13.25.
NGL Energy Partners had a 4 cent drop and a 1.87% loss to $2.10.
OGE Energy Corp. rose 14 cents to $32.40 and a gain of only 0.43%.
ONE Gas Inc fell 20 cents for a 0.27% loss to $74.99.
ONEOK Inc. gained an even 3% on a $1.49 increase to $51.18.
Ovintiv Inc. rose 29 cents for a 1.21% gain to $24.25.
SandRidge Energy Inc. closed up 9 cents at $4.01 for a gain of 2.30%.
Williams Companies Inc. gained 2.59% on a 62 cent climb to $24.56.
The Texas Energy Report indicated other energy stocks also increased in Friday’s trading including a 5.32% gain for Marathon Oil Corp. where shares increased 56 cents to close at $11.09.

ConocoPhillips (COP) up 1.47 at 53.04 – change 2.74%

Diamondback Energy (FANG) up 1.99 at 75.79 – change 2.70%

Energy Transfer LP (ET) up 0.17 at 7.93 – change 2.19%

Enterprise Products Partners (EPD) up 0.73 at 23.00 – change 3.28%

EOG Resources (EOG) up 1.84 at 74.88 – change 2.52%

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 1.53 at 57.71 – change 2.72%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.44 at 16.80 – change 2.69%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.50 at 14.03 – change 3.70%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 1.06 at 27.76 – change 3.97%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.87 at 84.31 – change 2.27%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 3.67 at 164.81 – change 2.27%

Valero (VLO) up 0.67 at 73.11 – change 0.92%
