Hearing to focus on US transportation

As a member of the Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee, Oklahoma U.S. Sen. James Lankford will take part Tuesday in a hearing to research and develop America’s transportation technologies.

Another focus of the hearing will be to reduce U.S. reliance on foreign supply chains. Democrats leading the hearing also want to focus on “solutions that decrease emissions.”

One of the witnesses is newly-named Cummins vice chairman Tony Satterthwaite. Cummins is known for its manufacturing of state-of-the-art diesel and natural gas powered engines for on-highway and off-highway use.

Another witness is Robert Wimmer, Director of Energy and Environmental Research at Toyota Motor North America.
