West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery dropped 62 cents to $60.52 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.
Global benchmark Brent crude oil for April delivery fell 41 cents to $63.93 a barrel on the ICE Futures Europe.

CenterPoint Energy Inc., one of the gas providers hit with major challenges this week in the historic cold weather was up 27 cents for a 1.25% gain to $21.80.
Another gas company, ONE Gas Inc. finished up 1.64% gain after stocks rose $1.19 to $73.58.
LSB Industries Inc. rose 18 cents for a 4.71% gain to $4.
Every other company on our list suffered losses on Thursday. Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. went down 22 cents or 3.43% to $6.19.
Blueknight Energy Partners LP Common Stock fell nearly 3% on a 6 cent drop to $2.24.
Chesapeake Energy lost $1.26 for a 2.85% slide to $43.
Cimarex Energy Co lost more than 7% as shares dropped $3.85 to $49.50.
Continental Resources, Inc. fell $1.42 for a more than 6% loss to $21.82.
Devon Energy Corp lost nearly 6% when stocks fell $1.20 to $20.54.
Enable Midstream Partners LP lost 10 cents for a 1.64% loss to $6.01.
Gulfport Energy Corporation lost nearly 6% before settling at slightly more than 8 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. dropped 76 cents for a 2.82% loss to $26.20.
Laredo Petroleum Inc lost more than 8% as shares fell $3.17 to $35.04.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. closed down $1.42 at $40.34 for a 3.40% loss.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc suffered a nearly 9% loss when shares dropped 61 cents and closed at $6.20.
Matrix Service Co finished down 23 cents for a 1.77% loss to $12.80.
NGL Energy Partners LP fell 5 cents to close down at $2.48 for a 2% loss.
OGE Energy Corp. slipped one cent before finishing at $31.75.
ONEOK, Inc. lost $1.14 to settle at $44.86 for a 2.48% loss.
Ovintiv Inc lost 8.63% on a $1.98 drop to $20.95.
PHX Minerals Inc lost more than 4% on a 14 cent tumble to $3.21.
SandRidge Energy Inc. dropped 25 cents for a 4.39% loss to $5.44.
Williams Companies Inc closed down 83 cents for a 3.59% loss to $22.26.
