As crude oil futures jumped in Friday’s trading with the benchmark U.S. crude crawling closer to the $60 mark, energy stocks in Oklahoma and elsewhere also got a bump.

West Texas Intermediate crude for March delivery went up $1.23 to $59.47 a barrel in trading on the New York Mercantile Exchange.

The global benchmark, Brent crude for April delivery finished up $1.29 at $62.43 a barrel on ICE Futures Europe.

March natural gas rose 4 cents to $2.91 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Most Oklahoma energy stocks had a positive day in Friday’s trading with Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. finishing with a 38 cent or 6.21% gain to $6.50.
