Gas wells completed in Custer and Pittsburg Counties of Oklahoma

 

Tulsa’s Citizen Energy III filed completion reports this week on two natural gas wells with combined production of more than 22,000 Mcf a day from a Custer County site. Trinity Operating had producers in eastern Oklahoma.

The two WI wells, located at 8 13N 14W on a single pad or about 6 miles due north of Weatherford along State highway 54 had spud dates in June 2020 with completions made in October of last year.

The largest producer had 12,706 Mcf a day of natural gas from a drilled depth of 23,227 feet in the Mississippian formation according to its completion report.

The second well had production of 9,594 Mcf a day from a drilled depth of 23,618 feet according to the completion report filed by Citizen Energy.

Two more gas wells were reported completed in the state by Houston-based Trinity Operating USG LLC.

The two wells were drilled adjacent to each other and the first was at 36 8N 17E in Pittsburg County and completed in October 2020. The site is a few miles west of the small town of Quinton and the two wells had combined natural gas production of more than 13,000 Mcf a day.

The Fannie 2-1/12h had production of 6,552 Mcf a day out of the Woodford formation from a drilled depth of 18,730 according to the completion report.

Fannie 1-1/12h, drilled at 5 8N 17E had production of 6,449 Mcf a day from a drilled depth of 18,812 feet in the Woodford. Its completion report showed a June spud date with completion in October 2020.

They were the latest effort of Trinity Operating which has a history of drilling for gas in eastern Oklahoma’s Arkoma Basin.

In April 2020, the company reported completion of two wells from a single pad with production of more than 18,000 Mcf of gas a day. They were located in Hughes County.
