Crude oil futures bounced back on Monday

Investors saw a bounce-back of crude oil futures in trading on Monday. But most Oklahoma energy stocks weren’t so fortunate.

West Texas Intermediate crude, considered the benchmark U.S. crude oil, rose 50 cents to $56.77 a barrels for March delivery.

Brent crude, the global benchmark, rose 47 cents for March delivery at $55.88 a barrel.

February natural gas rose 16 cents to $2.60 per 1,000 cubic feet.

Despite the increased oil futures on Monday, many Oklahoma energy stocks continued in their negative ways, with a few exceptions.

Chesapeake Energy continued its upward climb, gaining more than 8% in Monday’s trading as shares increased 41 cents to reach $5.30 by day’s end.

Another company with some success in Monday’s trading was LSB Industries which recorded a gain of 5.16% after shares rose 19 cents and settled at $3.87.

Otherwise, it was mostly a lack-luster day for many energy stocks.

Alliance Resource Partners dropped more than 2% as stocks fell 12 cents to $5.11.

Blueknight Energy Partners LP Common Stock dropped 1% or 2 cents and fell to $2.02.
Cimarex Energy Co saw a more than 2% gain of 95 cents to hit $45.28 for the day.
Continental Resources, Inc. lost 6 cents to finish at $18.96.
Devon Energy Corp fell 43 cents for a 2.42% drop to $17.37.
Enable Midstream Partners LP picked up 4 cents for about a 1% gain to $5.56.
Gulfport Energy Corporation lost 0.36% to settle at 9 cents.
Helmerich & Payne, Inc. had a nearly 1% gain after shares increased 15 cents to $25.49.
Laredo Petroleum Inc had a nearly 3% gain and shares rose 70 cents to $25.80.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. dropped more than 1% as shares lost 51 cents to finish the day at $45.33.
Mammoth Energy Services Inc lost 13 cents or 3% to close at $4.66.
Matrix Service Co lost 13 cents as well for a 1% drop to $13.45.
NGL Energy Partners LP dropped 17 cents to $2.81 for a 6% loss for the day.
OGE Energy Corp. tacked on 46 cents for a 1.47% gain to $31.82.
ONE Gas Inc added $1.69 to reach $72.48 for a 2.39% gain.
ONEOK, Inc. lost 61 cents and suffered a 1.42% loss to $42.23.
Ovintiv Inc added 8 cents for a half-point gain to $17.23.
 PHX Minerals Inc suffered a 7% loss as shares fell 21 cents to $2.79 for the day.
SandRidge Energy Inc. saw a 2% gain when shares added 9 cents to reach $4.79.
Williams Companies Inc finished up 6 cents to reach $21.66, a gain of only 0.28%.
Other stocks had the same kind of Monday as the Texas Energy Report indicated.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 0.34 at 55.20 – change 0.61%

ExxonMobil (XOM) down 0.53 at 46.90 – change 1.12%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) down 0.06 at 15.26 – change 0.40%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) down 0.33 at 7.82 – change 4.05%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) down 0.71 at 12.70 – change 5.30%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.02 at 21.51 – change 0.09%

Phillips 66 (PSX) down 0.47 at 72.08 – change 0.65%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) down 1.83 at 129.33 – change 1.40%

Valero (VLO) down 0.04 at 59.41 – change 0.07%
