Devon Energy gets bullish on new STACK drilling

(Devon’s energy goal in STACK?)

We stand corrected!

Devon Energy is not drilling a four-well single pad in Blaine County as reported earlier in the week, a report based on permits to drill issued earlier by state regulators.

It will be a six-well pad. Two more permits to drill at the same site near the community of Greenfield were issued a day later.

The  DICKSON 21_16-15N-10W #4HX  and the DICKSON 21_16-15N-10W #5HX, will be drilled at the same pad located six miles northeast of the little community that sits along Highway US 270 as it makes a sweeping curve in the hills south of Watonga.

The region has been the site of numerous prolific wells in Oklahoma’s STACK play over the past several years. This week’s six permits to drill are the first of such magnitude in several months and might reflect a decision by the company to slowly renew exploration efforts.
