Crude increases and energy stocks follow suit
Thursday was a good day for Oklahoma energy stocks and four saw outstanding performances after crude futures in the US and overseas saw 3% gains.
West Texas Intermediate crude for January delivery was up $1.26 and finished at $46.78 for a gain of 2.77%
Global benchmark Brent Crude for February delivery finished up $1.57 at $50.43 for a 3.21% gain.
Natural gas also took an 11 jump to reach $2.55 per MMBtu for a 4.55% gain.
Mammoth Energy Services finished with a more than 23% gain as stocks rose 67 cents to hit $3.55.
Laredo Petroleum Inc followed with a gain of 15.25% as shares shot up $2.93 and closed at $22.14.
PHX Minerals Inc. shares jumped 30 cents to finish at $2.36 for a gain of nearly 15%.
Cypress Environmental Partners LP also had a strong finish with a 14% gain on a 34-cent increase to settle at $2.72.
Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. closed up 15 cents at $5.23 a share which figured to a nearly 3% gain for the day. Blueknight Energy Partners LP Common Stock was unchanged for the day at $1.81. Chesapeake Energy Corporation slipped 4 cents for a drop of more than 2% at $1.94.
Continental Resources, Inc. closed up 90 cents at $19.23 for a nearly 5% gain. Devon Energy Corp had a more than 5% gain as shares jumped 86 cents and settled at $16.57. Enable Midstream Partners LP had a 2% gain as shares rose 11 cents and finished at $5.98.
Gulfport Energy Corporation, still struggling with bankruptcy had a nearly 2% gain before settling at 9 cents a share. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. shares gained 4% as they increased $1.06 to finish at $25.74. LSB Industries, Inc. jumped 27 cents for a 10% gain to $2.93.
Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. gained 4% after shares jumped $1.69 to finish at $46.07. Matrix Service Co managed an 8 cent a share increase for a 1% gain to $9.77. NGL Energy Partners LP finished up 26 cents for a 10% gain to $2.93.
OGE Energy Corp. dropped 47 cents for a 1.43% fall to $32.34.
ONE Gas Inc climbed 33 cents to finish at $79.77. ONEOK, Inc. gained about 4% when shares jumped $1.49 to reach $41.75.
Ovintiv Inc had a 35 cent increase in stock amounting to a gain of 2.35% to reach $15.24. SandRidge Energy Inc. shares rose 18 cents for a 6% gain to $3.17. WPX Energy Inc shares jumped 50 cents for a gain of 6.23% and settled at $8.53 for the day. Williams Companies Inc finished flat at $22.
Other energy companies did just as well according to the Texas Energy Report.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 1.72 at 54.68 – change 3.24%
ExxonMobil (XOM) up 1.21 at 44.01 – change 2.82%
Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.18 at 14.79 – change 1.23%
Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.15 at 7.30 – change 2.09%
National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.22 at 14.66 – change 1.52%
Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 1.92 at 21.31 – change 9.90%
Parsley Energy (PE) up 0.55 at 14.76 – change 3.87%
Phillips 66 (PSX) up 2.09 at 70.86 – change 3.03%
Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 4.36 at 118.79 – change 3.81%
