Pre-COVID-19 wells in Oklahoma reported this week

Tulsa-based Citizen Energy III LLC had some success earlier this year in a drilling project in Canadian County where a two-well pad produced 565 barrels of oil a day. But the wells were started last summer, months ahead of the outbreak of the COVID-19 pandemic that brought a halt to most well exploration in the state’s popular STACK and SCOOP plays.

The Unbridled 5-8-10-7 wells, drilled at a site southwest of Union City with a legal description of 32 11N 7W  were completed in January 2020. The completion report filed this week showed the first well had production of 245 barrels of oil a day and 2,068 Mcf  of natural gas from a drilling depth of 19,700 feet. It had a July 2019 spud date.

The second well on the same pad had production of 320 barrels of oil a day and 1,590 Mcf of natural gas. Its completion date was Dec. 26, 2019 and the drilling depth was 19,562 feet. The spud date was in August of 2019.
