More store closings in Oklahoma

Joining thousands of out-of-work oil and gas people in Oklahoma are those employees of three Justice clothing stores in the state.

The State Office of Workforce Development announced Thursday that Ascena Retail Group will close its Justice clothing stores by early 2021.

The closings will include the Justice store in Tulsa Woodland Hills, one at Oklahoma City’s Penn Square mall and another at the Oklahoma City Outlet Shoppes.

The announcement did not offer a specific explanation, but it’s believed the closings are due to the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic which has also hurt other industries in the state including oil and gas and construction.
