Energy stocks came back to earth in Tuesday’s trading

 

Tuesday’s Wall Street trading brought the reality to some Oklahoma energy companies that what goes up also must come down, this after some amazing increases recorded on Monday.

West Texas crude for December contracts dropped 20 cents or less than one-half of a percent to $41.23 a barrel.

Benchmark Brent crude slipped 7 cents to finish at $43.75 on the ICE Futures Europe.

Natural gas managed a one cent increase up to $2.70 per MMBtu.

Still, some companies had resounding increases in their shares including Oklahoma City-based Gulfport Energy, the firm that filed Chapter 11 bankruptcy over the weekend. Its shares jumped 20% on Tuesday, going up about 3 cents to reach 16 cents a share.

Another Oklahoma City-based company, Mammoth Energy Services saw a nearly 13% gain following a 23-cent climb in its shares as they settled at $2.04.

Others were mixed bag as Alliance Resource Partners, L.P. had a 14 cent gain for a 3.75% increase to $3.87. Blueknight Energy Partners LP slipped 4 cents for a 2.50% decline to $1.60. Chesapeake Energy Corporation dropped 5 cents or 1.51% to $3.27.

Continental Resources, Inc. added 29 cents for a 2.01% gain to $14.69. Cypress Environmental Partners LP slipped 6 cents for a 2.83% decline to $2.06. Devon Energy Corp. gained 58 cents for a 4.63% increase to $13.11.
Enable Midstream Partners LP fell 5 cents for a decline of 1% to $5.02. Helmerich & Payne, Inc. increased 41 cents or 2.24% to reach $18.96. LSB Industries, Inc. slid 2 cents or about 1% to $2.09.
Laredo Petroleum Inc. finished up 62 cents or 5.50% to end the day at $11.89. Magellan Midstream Partners, L.P. ended at $41.38 for a 34 cent or 1% gain. Matrix Service Co. settled at $9.81 following a 13 cent increase or 1.34% gain.
OGE Energy Corp. lost 49 cents or 1.41% to finish the day at $34.21. ONE Gas Inc. ended up 66 cents or about 1% and closed at $78.09. ONEOK reached $33.31 after a 96 cent or nearly 3% gain.
Ovintiv Inc. jumped more than 3% or 36 cents a share and finished at $12.29. PHX Minerals Inc. closed at $1.75 following a 1 cent gain. SandRidge Energy Inc. finished up 7 cents for a nearly 3% gain to $2.74.
WPX Energy Inc. tacked on 28 cents for a gain of 4.37% and finished at $6.69. Williams Companies Inc. closed Tuesday’s trading at $20.83 following a 60 cent jump or about 3% higher.

EOG Resources (EOG) up 0.32 at 45.67 – change 0.70%

ExxonMobil (XOM) up 0.51 at 38.67 – change 1.33%

Kinder Morgan (KMI) up 0.36 at 14.03 – change 2.63%

Marathon Oil Corp. (MRO) up 0.05 at 5.50 – change 0.91%

National Oilwell Varco (NOV) up 0.16 at 12.20 – change 1.32%

Occidental Petroleum (OXY) up 0.28 at 12.99 – change 2.28%

Parsley Energy (PE) up 0.19 at 12.08 – change 1.59%

Phillips 66 (PSX) up 1.72 at 64.34 – change 2.74%

Pioneer Natural Resources (PXD) up 1.20 at 95.91 – change 1.26%

Valero (VLO) down 0.54 at 54.15 – change 0.99%
