We will learn in late October how ConocoPhillips fared in the ongoing third-quarter as the company announced it will release its financial and operating results on Oct. 29.
The company suffered a $1 billion second quarter loss as the COVID-19 pandemic hit the energy industry worldwide.
Company management will hold a conference call webcast at 12 p.m. Eastern time on the same day to discuss the results.
In July, the company reported second quarter results showing a drop in earnings from $1.6 billion reported in the second quarter of 2019 to $0.3 billion in 2020. The 2020 second quarter earnings amounted to only 24 cents a share while a year earlier, they were $1.40 per share.
ConocoPhillips said then that its second quarter loss totaled $1 billion or 92 cents per share compared to earnings of $1.1 billion a year earlier.
