OK Congressman says it’s time for US Ag Secretary to be replaced

Congressman Markwayne Mullin voiced his frustrations via Facebook with U.S. Secretary of Agriculture Sonny Perdue. He calls out Perdue for a lack of response to the crisis brewing within the beef industry.

Mullin’s rant was posted Friday afternoon according to the McCarville Report. The Second District Congressman is a cattle rancher and owns a restaurant. He outlines the market price disparity where prices for cattle going to market are depressed, while wholesale prices for beef are skyrocketing.

He calls for Perdue to step down as Ag Secretary and for President Trump to replace him with someone who will answer calls from Congressmen and take action to alleviate the crisis in the beef market.
