EOG Resources to focus on McClain County efforts

An area of Oklahoma’s McClain County targeted by EOG Resources Inc will see the company drilling more wells near the H-E Bailey Turnpike southwest of Newcastle.

The company received four drilling permits this week to drill at a single pad at 04 8N 4W.

The permits are for four Laubhan 0409 wells and part of the company’s announced intentions last year to focus on Oklahoma’s SCOOP and primarily in Caddo, Grady and McClain Counties.

 

Elsewhere, Kirkpatrick Oil Co. Inc. of Oklahoma City plans to drill two wells at a single pad in Major County. The well site will be at 07 21N 14W or about 6 miles northwest of the community of Fairview.

SNR Northern Oklahoma Operating LLC received a permit to drill in Kay County.

Chesapeake Energy of Oklahoma City obtained a permit to drill a well at 27 17N 7W which puts the site due north of the city of Kingfisher and adjacent to highway US 81,

Presidio Petroleum LLC based in Fort Worth received a permit to drill in Roger Mills County in western Oklahoma.
