Western Oklahoma is site of another large producer

 

Another significant oil well producing more than 1,000 barrels of oil a day is reported in far western Oklahoma. Valpoint Operating LLC, an Amarillo, Texas based company filed a completion report for the Shrewder 26-23-1H located at 35 18N 23W in Ellis County.

The Shrewder well had initial production of 1,076 barrels of oil a day along with 1,144 Mcf of natural gas from the Oswego formation. It had an August 2018 spud date followed by the end of drilling in October 2018 and completion in April 2019.

Valpoint used 9,537,318 gallons of frac water along with 1,803,924 pounds of mesh sand and 1,664,161 of sand to bring in the well.

Paloma Operating based in Houston, Texas needed two wells from the same pad in Canadian County to bring in a total of 1,157 barrels of oil a day. The two wells are located at 22 12N 8W just southwest of El Reno. The Crooked Nose 15-12n-8w 2mh had an October 2018 spud date with completion made in December 2018.  The Lone Pine12-12N-8W 1MH was also completed in December of last year. Both wells were int he Meramec formation.

Chaparral Energy LLC of Oklahoma City completed two wells from the same pad with combined oil production of 1,142 barrels a day. The two Shasta wells at 21 11N 6W or 8 miles west of Mustang had spud dates in February 2019. Completion on each came in May 2019. One had oil production of 647 barrels a day while the second had production of 499 barrels of oil a day.

Cimarex Energy Co. based in Denver, Colorado filed completion reports on two wells from the same pad with combined oil production of 1,555 barrels a day.

The two Dupree Bia wells are located just west of Watonga at 22 16N 12W. One had a May 2018 spud date and the other was in September 2018. But both were completed in November 2018. One had production of 766 barrels of oil a day while the second had production of 779 barrels of oil a day.
