Shareholders elected ten members to the Chesapeake Energy board of directors at last Friday’s annual meeting held in Oklahoma City.
The ten included: Gloria R. Boyland, Luke R. Corbett, Mark A. Edmunds, Scott Gieselman, David W. Hayes, Leslie Starr Keating, Robert D. Lawler, R. Brad Martin, Merrill A. Miller and Thomas L. Ryan.
President and CEO Doug Lawler received 987,218,282 votes to be retained on the board while 13,019, 211 votes were cast against him.
The shareholders also voted to support the executive compensation of the company’s executive officers. There were 652,151,042 votes in favor of the compensation while 345,726,431 votes were cast against it.
The shareholders also approved the proposal to ratify the appointment of Pricewaterhouse Coopers LLP as the company’s independent registered public accounting firm.
