Reports reflect Kingfisher county activity for Newfield Exploration

Newfield Exploration filed 8 completion reports this week showing well production in Kingfisher County at two separate pad sites.

Three Lucky Dog wells were produced 2 miles north of Okarche and one mile west of highway US 81. The wells had spud dates in August of 2018 with completion in October 2018. The Lucky Dog 1507 1h-19, 1507 7h-19 and 1507 6h-19 wells are located at 19 15N 7W.

Their production ranged from a low of 365 barrels of oil a day up to 506 barrels a day.

Newfield also had 5 wells at one pad site about 3 miles southwest of the town of Loyal. The Waits 1709 4h-28x, 1709 2h-28x, 1709 3h-28x, 1709 5h-28x and 1709 6h-28x wells are at 21 17N 9W and had a high production of 793 barrels of oil a day down to 472 barrels a day.

The wells were completed last fall about the time that Newfield Exploration Co. was sold to Canadian oil and gas producer Encana in a $5.5 billion deal. The sale gave Encana a far greater reach into the Anadarko basin.
