Watonga water problems fixed after town was left without water

Watonga’s water issues are finally solved. It was Tuesday when an OGE crew, according to the Watonga Police Department, struck a main water line causing the entire town to be without water.

As a water geyser shot into the air, crews scrambled to make repairs. While they worked on repairs, the police department worked to find bottled water to those who needed drinking water.

Police later notified residents the situation had been resolved but residents were also warned to boil their drinking water for safety precautions.

“ONCE the water is turned back on, before you consume the water from your faucets it must be brought to a rapid boil, DO NOT drink without doing this 1st,” warned police on a social posting.
