Small earthquake recorded in northern Oklahoma

 

While the Oklahoma Corporation Commission was investigating a Sunday night earthquake that eventually resulted in the shutdown of a fracking operation near Bridge Creek, a Monday morning quake was recorded in northern Oklahoma.

It measured 2.7 magnitude according to the U.S. Geological Survey and the epicenter was only about a mile from the town of Medford.

The quake struck at 8:30 a.m. and was about 2 miles deep.
