Oklahoma Corporation Commissioner Bob Anthony brushed back challenges by two women opponents in Tuesday’s general election and won re-election for a sixth term.
The Republican received 60.04% of the 1,167,032 votes cast statewide, beating Democrat Ashley Nicole McCray and Independent Jackie Short.
McCray received 34.29% of the votes while Short received 5.67%.
In terms of numbers, 700,643 voted for Anthony, 400,185 voted for McCray and 66,204 voted for Short..
Anthony has been a corporation commissioner since 1988.
