Oklahoma’s Largest CNG Station Formally Opened Along I-44 in Tulsa

Oklahoma’s largest capacity CNG station is now operational in Tulsa along I-44 following a recent ribbon-cutting ceremony.

Sparq Natural Gas of Oklahoma City took part in the ceremony along with Timmons Oil, Dericks Leasing and Financial and J-W Power at the Timmons Oil company located at 13001 E Admiral Place in Tulsa.

Sparq Natural Gas boasted how its CNG is cheaper than diesel fuel, noting that diesel was posted at $2.999 at a neighboring truck stop. Spark’s fuel price was $1.599 which amounted to a savings of $1.400.

With rising gasoline and diesel fuel prices, and stable CNG prices, we offer fleets a clear choice: moving to clean-burning, Oklahoma-produced, abundant, natural gas is the right choice for municipal governments, the beverage industry, the refuse collection industry, the mail distribution industry, and countless other sectors of our economy,” stated the company in its announcement.

Sparq Natural says the new station is strategically located along what it calls “CNG Corridor” and will provide more options for heavy trucks traveling between St. Louis and Dallas and those CNG trucks operating in the Tulsa region,.
