Denver Midstream Firm Expands Northern Colorado Operations

Sterling Energy Investments LLC, a Denver based midstream company announced it intends to expand the processing capacity and natural gas gathering pipeline infrastructure of its Centennial System in the northeastern DJ Basin of northern Colorado.

Sterling completed the first phase of its existing Jackson Lake Processing plant during the second quarter of 2018. It plans to place in-service the fully funded cryogenic expansion of the plant during the fourth quarter of the year.

The company also stated it will expand the capacity at the cisting Centennial Gas Processing plant by up to 120 MMcf/d. The permitting process for the expansion is underway with state and local authorities. Sterling expects the commission of the expansion project to happen in the second half of 2019.

The company’s Centennial system consists of more than 450 miles of low-pressure gathering pipeline spanning Weld, Morgan and Logan counties in Colorado and Cheyenne County in Nebraska.
