Electrical Transmission Operator Expands Operations into Southwest Missouri

With final approval from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, Dallas-based GridLiance Holdco, L.P. has taken over operation of the electric transmission assets of the city of Nixa, Missouri and expanded its operations through the Midwest.

Nixa is a suburb of Springfield and the acquisition includes a 10 mile, 69 kV transmission line between the city of Springfield and the Southwestern Power Administration. The city of 21,000 is already home to Missouri’s largest solar farm which can generate up to 7.92 megawatts of renewable energy. 

GridLiance is an electric transmission utility holding company based in Dallas. It already has long-term partnerships with utility partners operating in Oklahoma, Missouri, Nevada, Texas and Kansas.

The company is a portfolio company of Blackstone Energy Partners, an afifliate of Blackstone, a leading energy infrastructure investor.
