State Senate Democrats Get Energy Committee Assignments

Democrats in the Oklahoma State Senate got their committee assignments this week for their caucus. And that included those named to various energy-related committee.

Sen. John Sparks, Democratic leader made the announcement.

“Our members come from a variety of backgrounds—education, business, agriculture, first responders,  military, mental health and the law—and that real world experience serves the citizens of this state well as our members work to find solutions to the problems facing Oklahoma.”

Sen. Kay Floyd of Oklahoma City and Sen. Kevin Matthews of Tulsa were named to the Senate Energy Committee.

Sen. Randy Bass of Lawton and Sen. Matthews were appointed to the Transportation Committee.

Named to the Public Safety Committee were Sen. Matthews and Sen. Michael Brooks of Oklahoma City.

Senator Michael Brooks and Senator-elect Allison Ikley-Freeman are new to the legislature this year.
