Chesapeake Filing Claim against Estate of Aubrey McClendon

The company once co-founded and led by the late Oklahoma energy mogul Aubrey McClendon has now become the latest to file a claim against his estate following his death in a March traffic crash.

The company has yet to present its claim in court, according to a report in the Journal Record. But Chesapeake already has two lawsuits against other companies with ties to McClendon. And the company is asking a judge to replace Tom Blalock, the McClendon estate representative and estate administrator.

Chesapeake attorney Murray Abowitz contends if Blalock handles its claims against the state, a conflict of interest would exist.
