Leadership Changes at Anadarko Petroleum Corporation

Houston-based Anadarko Petroleum Corporation announced on Tuesday that Darrell Hollek has been named Executive Vice President, Operations with responsibility for the company’s U.S. onshore exploration, production and midstream activities, along with its Gulf of Mexico and international operations.

A Texas A&M University graduate, Hollek began his career with Oklahoma City’s Kerr-McGee Corporation in 1980 as a field engineer in Morgan City, Louisiana. Hollek held positions of increasing responsibility including leadership roles for operations in the Gulf of Mexico and U.S. onshore exploration, production and development. Hollek initially served as Senior Vice President of Operations – Deepwater Americas for Anadarko, receiving multiple promotions following the company’s June 2006 acquisition of Kerr-McGee.

Anadarko also announced that Ernie Leyendecker has been named Executive Vice President, International and Deepwater Exploration.

Leyendecker joined Kerr-McGee in 2002 as Exploration Manager for the shelf and deepwater Gulf of Mexico. Following the acquisition of Kerr-McGee, Leyendecker held positions of increasing responsibility at Anadarko. Most recently, Leyendecker served as Senior Vice President, International Exploration. Leyendecker is a Texas A&M University graduate.

Anadarko also announced the retirement of Bob Daniels and Jim Kleckner. Daniels will continue as an executive vice-president and member of the company’s executive committee until his retirement later this year.
