Oklahoma’s gasoline prices are now up to $2 a gallon, according to the latest report from AAA Oklahoma. The $2 threshold was broken on Saturday for the first time since mid-November 2015 but the average dipped slightly on Sunday, finally settling at $2.003. A week ago, the statewide average was $1.95 a gallon.
“There’s quite a range of gas prices across Oklahoma today,” said Chuck Mai, spokesman for AAA Oklahoma.
Purcell has the highest citywide average at $2.175 followed by Mustang at $2.138 and Ada at $2.132. Guymon has the lowest average at $1.877 followed by Wagoner at $1.892 and Sallisaw at $1.893.
The average in Oklahoma City is $2.005 compared to $1.925 a week ago. In Tulsa, the average is $1.971, an increase of about 6 cents a gallon over the past week.

Nationally, the most expensive markets are in California where the average is $2.80 a gallon, Hawaii at $2.67, and Washington at $2.55.
Oklahoma is still one of the cheapest states in the nation. Arkansas has an average of $1.99. Texas is at the same and Louisiana, Mississippi and Oklahoma are at $2. a gallon.
