OKC, Tulsa and Lawton under ozone warnings from DEQ

On the last day of Spring 2019 in Oklahoma, the state issued an ozone watch for Oklahoma City, Lawton and Tulsa as temperatures were to push into the 90s.

Southwest Oklahoma was expected to have high temperatures of 97 and some areas could even have hit 100 degrees.

The Oklahoma Department of Environmental Quality called it the first issuance by the Association of Central Oklahoma Governments in Oklahoma City, the Indian Nations Council of Governments for the Tulsa area and the Lawton Metropolitan Planning Organization for the Lawton area.
