More severe weather threatens Oklahoma on Tuesday

After severe weather left four people dead in Oklahoma over the weekend, the state is at risk Tuesday for more such weather.

The National Weather Service said 7 tornadoes were reported Friday. A woman and her 13-year old daughter were killed Friday when a tornado near Fairview in Northwestern Oklahoma hit their car.

A tornado touched down Friday, March 6, in Beggs, Oklahoma, leaving two people dead. The tornado also damaged parts of the local school, destroyed a handful of homes and overturned vehicles.

Two others died when a tornado struck the northeast town of Beggs. The storm damage prompted Governor Kevin Stitt to declare a state of emergency in Alfalfa, Creek, Grant, Major, Okmulgee, Rogers, Tulsa and Wagoner counties.

State Climatologist Gary McManus with the Oklahoma Mesonet says there is also a good chance for more rain.
