Constant rig count reported in Oklahoma’s energy plays

Oklahoma saw no change in its rig count in the past week and the most active oil and gas play remained the Cana Woodford.

The latest Baker Hughes Rig Count reported 22 rigs are active in the Cana. The Granite Wash was home to the next highest number of active rigs and it was a total of 13.

The Ardmore Woodford count was unchanged at 2 rigs while the Arkoma Woodford was steady at three rigs.

The Mississippian remained without any reported drilling activity.

Around the U.S., the Permian basin count fell one to 241 rigs. The Williston remained at 29 rigs and the Eagle Ford total stayed at 40 rigs.

The Haynesville saw a gain of 7 rigs for a total of 50. The Marcellus count of 25 was unchanged from the prior week. The Utica stayed at 14 rigs and the D-J Basin continued with 9. The Barnett count remained at one rig.
