
Some of the cheapest gasoline in the U.S is in Oklahoma and it’s cause to celebrate. Especially when it’s well under $2 a gallon.
GasBuddy reported some Oklahoma City stations are pumping gasoline for $1.84 per gallon. Tulsa’s cheapest gasoline is $1.93.
AAA reported the state average is $2.26, a penny more than a week ago but 12 cents cheaper than a month earlier and 30 cents below last year’s average of $2.56 per gallon.
The U.S. average was down to $2.81 this week, two cents lower from the prior week.
The average price in Oklahoma City, according to AAA, was $2.17 compared to $2.20 a week earlier and 27 cents lower from a year ago. Tulsa’s average rose 8 cents from a week ago to reach $2.34 this week while the average price in Lawton stood at $2.10 per gallon.
The cheapest gasoline prices by county include $2.08 in Comanche County and $2.11 in Canadian and Oklahoma counties.
Highest prices are $2.78 in Coal County in the southeast and $2.75 in Woods county in the northwest.
AAA reported that Oklahoma’s average price of $2.26 compared to $2.39 in Texas; $2.64 in New Mexico; $2.41 in Colorado; $2.42 in Kansas; $2.44 in Missouri; and $2.38 in Arkansas.
