Wreath says Commissioners offered no explanation for his firing

When he met briefly with the Oklahoma Corporation Commission before he was terminated as Director of Administration, Brandy Wreath indicated the three commissioners gave him no explanation of why.

““They didn’t say anything,” he told the state capitol website Non-Doc on Tuesday after he was removed from the position.

“They just said that I could resign or they would terminate me, and either way, there was the severance package that they’d do on the separation. And I said, ‘I will not willingly leave my people.’ I’ve worked too hard to be here for them, and I, you know — what’s the termination going to do to me that hadn’t already been done by the years?”

Three hours later, the commissioners, Kim David, Brian Bingman and Todd Hiett, returned and voted unanimously to terminate Wreath from the job he had held since June of 2022. They offered no explanation and declined comment following the meeting.

NonDoc reported on some of the comments Wreath made to some loyal employees, some who cried after his firing.
