PSO distributes free Light Bulbs to Oklahoma Food Pantries

PSO Continues Partnership with Food Banks to Shine A Light on Neighbors in Need

PSO Distributes 30,000 LED Bulbs to 33 Oklahoma Food Pantries Through Shine a Light Project

At least 33 food banks and pantries across Oklahoma are recipients of a free light bulb program sponsored annually by Public Service Company of Oklahoma. More than 30,000 LED light bulbs were handed out this year under the Shine a Light Project.

Partnerships Drive the Shine a Light Program

The Shine a Light Project partners with food banks and pantries across PSO’s service area to provide light bulbs to families in need. By working alongside organizations already serving their communities, PSO ensures these bulbs reach the households that need them most.

Since 2014, PSO’s Shine a Light Project has distributed over 1 million energy-efficient light bulbs statewide.

Leadership Praises Community Impact

Community partnerships are at the heart of what we do,” said PSO President and Chief Operating Officer Leigh Anne Strahler. “Working alongside food pantries allows us to provide more than just light, it’s about supporting families and strengthening the communities we serve.”

The Shine a Light Project supports food pantry clients, but any PSO customer can take advantage of rebates and instant discounts on many energy-efficient products.
