Oklahoma’s not finished with the kind of weather that brings power outages, such as those that hit central Oklahoma early Monday morning.
Christi Woodworth, OG&E VP Marketing & Communications said thousands of customers around the Oklahoma City metro experienced outages.
“Earlier today, approximately 12,000 customers in the Harrah, Choctaw, Newalla, and Jones area experienced an outage due to an equipment issue that has been repaired. Our crews and control centers worked quickly and safely to reroute power to customers. All customers were restored by 6:35 AM this morning.”
The outages came after some low wind chill readings on Sunday in the state, per the Oklahoma Mesonet and State Climatologist Gary McManus.
