
Oklahoma Corporation Commissioners recently ended their several week long stretch of not holding closed-door meetings as allowed by a nearly year-old law.
In a filing made this week, (October 4) the Commission revealed the meeting was held on Wednesday, October 29. All three commissioners, Kim David, Todd Hiett and Brian Bingman were in attendance for the meeting that started at 2:04 p.m. and lasted for 43 minutes in a conference room at the Will Rogers Memorial Office Building.
The purpose of the meeting, according to the form was to discuss organizational structure and staffing needs. The organizational structure discussion pertained to “internal finance/accounting units.” The staffing needs concerned “personnel issues.”
Those on hand for the private meeting, in addition to the commissioners were: Jeff Kline, Legal Advisor to Commissioner David; Erica O’Neal, Regulatory Assistant/Paralegal to Commissioner David; Jared Haines, Administrative Aide to Commissioner Bingman; Louis Jackson, Advisor to Commissioner Bingman; Nicole King, Legal advisor to Commissioner Hiett; and Brandy Wreath, Director of Administration.
The last such private meeting involving Commissioners was in early September.
