Coweta delays data center discussion

Members of the Coweta community meet at Coweta City Hall to discuss plans for Project Atlas on Oct. 29, 2025.

Developer Requests Delay to Incorporate Community Feedback

Residents focused on a proposed data center in Coweta will have to wait until the middle of next month for more information from developer Beale Infrastructure. The company had been scheduled last week to present its plans before the Coweta City Planning Commission, but asked to delay the meeting to gather additional input and incorporate feedback into the proposal.

The presentation is now scheduled for December 15, according to reporting by the Tulsa Flyer.

Beale Infrastructure’s Project Atlas Moves Forward

Developer Purchased 200 Acres from the City

Beale Infrastructure is the firm that acquired 200 acres from the City of Coweta last month, where it intends to construct a hyperscale data center known as Project Atlas. The purchase marked the company’s first public step toward developing the site.

Hyperscale data centers typically house thousands of servers and require substantial power, cooling, and grid capacity, drawing considerable public interest when proposed.

High Public Interest Prompts Venue Change

Monday’s originally scheduled meeting was preemptively moved to the Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) due to expectations of a large turnout. That meeting will now take place Dec. 15 at ICTC, following Beale Infrastructure’s delay request.

A Dec. 1 City Council discussion on the project has also been postponed and is now slated for Jan. 5, the Tulsa Flyer reported.

Next Steps for Coweta Residents

Residents will have multiple opportunities in December and January to learn more about Project Atlas, ask questions, and hear details directly from the developer. City officials expect high attendance as concerns over site layout, utility demand, noise, and long-term land impact continue to grow.
