When Tanner Vosvick hung up his U.S. Army uniform, he wasn’t ready to stop serving. A former Field Artillery Officer, Vosvick wanted a career built on teamwork, discipline and purpose, where he could keep making a difference. Today, he leads a different kind of team, charged with protecting OG&E’s systems and helping deliver reliable power for communities across Oklahoma and western Arkansas. For Vosvick, the uniform may have changed, but the sense of duty remains the same.
“I was drawn to OG&E because of the company’s strong values and its commitment to serving the people in its communities, including veterans,” Vosvick said.
As a supervisor of OG&E’s Identity Operations team, Vosvick now leverages the skills and discipline he developed during his time in service to protect the company’s infrastructure and support operational security.

“My team helps OG&E’s systems and infrastructure remain secure so that we can continue to deliver energy safely and reliably to our customers,” said Vosvick.
Vosvick credits OG&E’s supportive culture and Veterans TOGETHER member resource group with helping him transition successfully from military to civilian life.
“From day one, OG&E made me feel supported. The company truly invests in its people and provides the resources needed to grow professionally and personally,” said Vosvick. “Being part of the Veterans TOGETHER group reminds me of the camaraderie and shared purpose I experienced in the Army.”
For Vosvick, serving his community in a new way has been a meaningful continuation of his military career. His dedication reflects that many veterans across OG&E who bring their skills, leadership and sense of duty to the company every day.
On Veterans Day and every day, we thank all who have served for their commitment and sacrifice,” said Ian Anderson, Director of Enterprise Security, Network & Monitoring at OG&E, who is also a U.S. Army Veteran and leads Vosvick’s department. “Our veterans exemplify what it means to serve others and bring their sense of duty and purpose to OG&E. We’re honored to have team members like Tanner who continue to make a difference in our company and the communities we energize.”

Vosvick’s story is a powerful example of how OG&E’s partnerships and programs help veterans thrive. OG&E is a Troops to Energy Jobs employer, an initiative that helps veterans transition to careers in the energy industry, and partners with the Department of Defense to place veterans into internships that can lead to permanent employment. The company also offers paid family military leave.
OG&E is also a leading member of the Oklahoma Energy Workforce Consortium (OEWC), a partnership of Oklahoma energy companies, and the Center for Energy Workforce Development (CEWD), a nonprofit consortium comprised of over 120 like-minded associations, unions and government partnership. Through these collaborations, OG&E is growing a strong, diverse workforce for the future of energy, including opportunities for veterans.
