Oklahoma Oil and Gas Expo Draws 4,000 Industry Attendees

A Celebration of Oklahoma’s Energy Strength

Oklahoma’s energy sector gathered in full force for the 28th Annual Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas Expo, held at the Bennett Event Center on the OKC Fairgrounds. The event drew an estimated 4,000 attendees, cementing its status as the state’s largest oil and gas industry gathering.

Hosted by the Oklahoma Energy Resources Board’s Committee for Producer Education, the Expo celebrated decades of innovation, advanced technology, and the critical economic role of oil and natural gas in Oklahoma’s economy.

“The Expo continues to represent the best of Oklahoma energy,” said one event organizer. “It’s where innovation meets tradition — and where the future of energy takes shape.”


Producer Panel, BBQ Competition, and Networking

In addition to the main Expo floor, several special events brought industry leaders and professionals together for insight and camaraderie.

The Donuts & Doghouses Producer Panel offered an inside look at current market strategies and production trends. Panelists included Parker Neal of Validus Energy, Walt Duncan IV of Duncan Oil Properties, James Head of Flywheel Energy, Paul Willis of Diversified Energy, Tim Cargile of Sanguine Gas Exploration, and Gavin McQueen of Anthem Energy Partners.

The 4th Annual Oklahoma Oil & Natural Gas BBQ Competition brought friendly rivalry and smoky aromas to the event. Westhaven and Drillchem took home the People’s Choice Award, while Thru Tubing Solutions and Caliber Resource Partners claimed the championship title. A fishing boat raffle added an extra dose of excitement to the day’s events.


Prospect Fair and Industry Showcase

A highlight of the Expo was the Prospect Fair, where companies and professionals presented new technologies, services, and investment opportunities. Exhibitors included geoscientists, engineers, landmen, operators, working interest owners, and royalty owners showcasing cutting-edge geological data, mapping innovations, and exploration concepts.

The Expo also underscored Oklahoma’s reputation as a hub for energy entrepreneurship. Attendees discussed workforce development, regulatory changes, and the need for long-term investment in energy education and sustainability.


Industry Legacy and Economic Impact

The Oklahoma Energy Resources Board (OERB) represents more than 2,500 producers and thousands of royalty owners across the state. The organization continues to lead in public education, environmental restoration, and energy literacy.

As Oklahoma continues balancing traditional fossil fuel production with renewable energy integration, events like the Expo remind industry professionals of the sector’s enduring importance to the state’s economy.
