“I’m proud to be a donor and to see this new facility taking shape,”

Oklahoma oil billionaire Harold Hamm is among the major contributors to the new $300 million White House ballroom addition. The ballroom, currently under construction, is designed to host world leaders and represent the United States with distinction.

Hamm Proud to Support National Project

Hamm, founder and chairman of Oklahoma City-based Continental Resources, confirmed his involvement in an email to The Oklahoman. He said he was proud to help fund the project and excited to see it taking shape. He emphasized that the new addition will properly represent the nation on the global stage.

“It’s going to be beautiful and done right. It’s already paid for, and it will stand as a fantastic addition for the American people — not for any one person or administration, but for generations to come. I’m proud to be part of the group that helped make it happen,” Hamm told The Oklahoman.

Hamm’s statement reflects his long-standing belief in energy leadership and national pride. He was once considered for the role of U.S. Energy Secretary in the first Trump administration. His contributions to Oklahoma’s energy industry and national policy discussions remain significant.

Oklahoma Energy Legacy Behind the Gift

Continental Resources grew under Hamm’s leadership into one of the largest U.S. oil and gas producers, with operations expanding heavily in North Dakota’s Bakken shale. In recent years, Hamm and his family bought back the company’s public shares, returning it to private ownership. Hamm’s participation in the ballroom project aligns with his record of investing in both Oklahoma and national initiatives that symbolize American strength and independence.

List of Donors Includes Renewable Energy Firms

According to CNN and documents released by the White House, the donor list includes 37 companies and individuals. While contribution amounts were not disclosed, the list features NextEra Energy — a Florida-based company with nearly two dozen renewable energy projects in Oklahoma.

President Trump first estimated the ballroom’s cost at $200 million. However, the latest projections place it closer to $300 million, reflecting an expanded scope and enhanced design features.

The ballroom will serve as a setting for major diplomatic events and state functions, symbolizing America’s hospitality and leadership on the world stage.
