Frosty weather is a possibility this weekend in the Oklahoma Panhandle

Okay, okay, it might not be that cold for Oklahomans to see “frost on the pumpkins.”

Well, maybe. State Climatologist Gary McManus said there is a remote possibility that this weekend’s cold air blast might bring some frost in the Panhandle.

After all, the first freeze of the season could occur.

.”…there’s not really an arctic blast for the weekend, but
just that cool front on Friday that will usher in some more seasonable air for this time of year, and for the Panhandle, that means 30s at times. Not the 50s,” wrote McManus in his Mesonet update.
