Coweta data center opposed by some residents

“It ruins all our little farms, around here, that we’ve worked our lives on.”

Even as state leaders might embrace the growth of data centers around Oklahoma, it also has its opponents. Such as those who gathered Tuesday night in Coweta to learn details about  the data center proposed by developer by Beale Infrastructure.

Beal acquired nearly 200 acres of land from the city of Coweta and this week confirmed its intentions to locate at data center at the site.

As KJRH TV found it, some local residents are opposed to it. Among them was Sylvia Frost, a local farmer.

“It ruins all our little farms, around here, that we’ve worked our lives on. We don’t know what all this stuff is gonna do to our livestock,” Frost said. “We’ve got donkeys and horses and mules here, and pigs. We don’t know what all this noise and air pollution from these diesel generators are gonna do.”
